American Hero & Retired JFK Era Secret Service Agent Clint Hill is available for commencement speeches
Clinton "Clint" Hill is the U.S. Secret Service agent who will forever be remembered as the intrepid special agent who ran to the assistance of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy when shots began to be fired in Dealey Plaza in Dallas. Clint managed to leap aboard the presidential limousine and rode on top of it at high speed to Parkland Hospital in a nightmarish and impossible to forget 4 minute trip.
This experience, however was brief in comparison to the four years that Clint Hill spent serving the First Family as a special agent assigned to protect Mrs. Kennedy. During this time he witnessed the beginning of the Kennedy Administration; was present at the birth of John Kennedy Junior; the death of an infant Patrick Kennedy and, shortly after JFK's funeral, an medal award ceremony for Clint's heroic actions the day of the assassination that a recently widowed Jackie Kennedy attended. Clint Hill transitioned from the White House detail to the Kennedy home in Georgetown to watch over a former first lady and her family engulfed in grief.
Clint Hill later re-joined the White House again in 1964 and was promoted to Special Agent In Charge of Presidential Protection in 1967. later he was assigned to protect Vice President Agnew and subsequently promoted to Assistant Director of the Secret Service. Clint Hill is a speaker with fascinating insights into America's leaders from an important period of our history. He has an important message to share for young graduates, parents, faculty and college staff.
